Text-to-911 - Multnomah County Police Department

A woman hold her phone close to her face in a dark room only the light from the screen lights her face. Text reads " Sometimes a phone call is too loud." Subtext " Domestic violence help is a text away."

This work was completed in 2022 while working for FIR Northwest. The creative brief asked for a way to bring awareness of the new text-to-911 service as a resource for people affected by domestic violence (DV). The caveat was the delicate nature of this sort of message, even drawing attention to the fact that it’s a DV resource can put a person in danger. I worked with other creatives to deliver this concept, my personal contribution includes writing the main line of copy, while the rest of it was a collaborative effort with Keely Yoakam. I also worked with two art directors, Darby McCann and Emogene Bidegain on the visual concepts.
